Interview with The Author-
Q-When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
A-When I was twelve years old, my uncle gave me an anthology of literature that he used in college. I read it cover to cover multiple times and knew I wanted to produce my own literature one day.
Q-Where do you get ideas for your books?
A-Sometimes ideas come from other stories I’ve read or movies I’ve seen that have left me wondering and questioning and revisiting from other points of view. Often, they come from dreams.
Q-What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
I love to read, binge my favorite TV series, spend time with my family, and cuddle with my dogs. I also enjoy gardening and watching Home and Garden shows.
Q-What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
I was surprised to discover how much they were loved by other people.
Q-Who is your favourite character from the book?
That’s such a tough question. It’s like asking me which of my children is my favorite.
Q-What advice would you give to person who wants to write a book or like publish his/her book?
I have free resources on my website, including links to presentations I have delivered at writers’ conferences. I would say don’t give up on your dream.
Q-What was the inspiration behind this book?
After watching a movie called Meet Joe Black starring Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins (about Death wanting to learn about life), I wondered how the story would be different if Death had been the Greek god Thanatos.
Q-Name some books you would love to recommend to your readers.
Poisonwood Bible, by Barabara Kingsolver for lovers of literary fiction; The Host, by Stephenie Meyer, for lovers of science fiction romance; The Infernal Devices, by Cassandra Clare, for lovers of young adult paranormal romance; and His Dark Materials, by Philip Pullman, for lovers of middle-grade fiction.
